Klopp expains which unexpected player has been the best in training recently

Jurgen Klopp was in an understandable joyous mood after our 5-1 win over Hull City in the league on Saturday afternoon.

The result was never in doubt from the first minute as we produced another ruthlessly efficient attacking display to put the Tigers to the sword.

In the post-match press conference, he was specifically asked about the James Milner situation. Milner has long had a reputation for being a quality all-around utility man, but his deployment at left-back this season has shocked even his biggest advocates.

Of course, the former England international has been excellent, but Klopp was full of praise for the man he displaced from the side, Alberto Moreno.

“Full-back is a very important position for us, a very, very important position for us,” said Klopp.

“To be honest, one of the best players in training in the last few weeks has been Alberto Moreno. He took the situation brilliantly and is in a really good moment.” (official site)

The Spaniard lost his place in the second game of the season after an error-strewn performance against Arsenal, and we have only seen him in the League Cup since.

Are we likely to see him regain his place in the future? Or is his Anfield career over? Let us know.
