Nathaniel Clyne offers the final word on Man Utd bore draw

It certainly wasn’t a classic on Monday night at Anfield; Man Utd came for a bore draw and got it.

It was such a shame we couldn’t stick one away in the second half – we came close on a number of occasions but the ball wouldn’t quite drop for us. The few times we got a shot away, we were stopped in our tracks by an in-form David De Gea.

Nathaniel Clyne has offered what could be the final word on the game, as attentions now start to shift towards Saturday evening’s game with West Brom at Anfield.

“I thought we performed quite well overall. We were the better team on the day and the team that went out there to try and win the game. We did really well but unfortunately couldn’t break them down, which was a bit disappointing on our behalf. But at the end of the day, it was a good point and a clean sheet,” he said (Echo).

“It shows how far we’ve come. We’re going into every game possible looking to win. We played really well against Manchester United and it was disappointing not to get the goal we deserve to get the three points, but we’ll take the point and move on to the next game.”

Clyne has been in great form since he signed for us, and especially since Klopp took charge of the club. He has been an ever-present in the league so far this season and is one of the few players who is absolutely guaranteed of their position in the starting XI each week.
