Pochettino ready to rotate as Spurs come to Anfield

We will continue in our quest for the first silverware of the season tomorrow night when Spurs come to Anfield for the fourth round of the League Cup.

A place in the quarter-final is at stake, at after losing in the semis in 2014/15 and in the final in 2015/16, Klopp will be hoping to go one better this time around.

Our task will be made somewhat easier by Spur boss Mauricio Pochettino’s confirmation that he will field a much-changed side for the last-16 game (ESPN).

Moussa Sissoko will serve the first of a three-match ban after his disgusting elbow at the weekend, and Harry Kane and Toby Alderweireld are injured.

Ben Davies, Kieran Trippier, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Kevin Wimmer, Joshua Onomah, Harry Winks, and Tom Carroll are all expected to play.

“It’s a different competition and, like against Gillingham [in the third round], sometimes we rest players that play a lot and avoid the risk of injury, and players who don’t feel so good — it’s about balance,” said their boss.
