Philippe Coutinho wants to bring success to Liverpool and he wants to do it this year.
He wants to achieve big things at this club this season, whether that means qualifying for the Champions League or winning a trophy. Waiting around isn’t an option for the Brazilian as he sets his sights on achieving key goals in what he views as a crucial year for the club.
Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: “We have to keep working together because the season is very long. We have big objectives to realise this season.”
“The confidence [of a good result] brings good feeling, tells us that we have to keep working hard. This season promises to be very important for us and Liverpool have to keep playing well.”
Coutinho will undoubtedly be at the heart of anything we go on to achieve this season having grown to become not only an incredible talent in this side but also one who is now capable of leading his team, taking responsibility and driving Klopp’s men to victory.
His timely return to fitness is a boost heading into the rest of the season as the Reds look to put pressure on the likes of Chelsea and Tottenham at the top of the Premier League table as well as continuing to compete in two cup competitions.
It’s great to hear from him. It’s even better to have him back.
