Sadio Mane hasn’t experienced the explosive return many perhaps anticipated but he also hasn’t been helped much by those around him.
Liverpool entered the half time break 1-0 down after Alfred N’Diaye took advantage of some poor defending on a corner to pounce on a loose ball and tap home from close range.
Mane’s runs in behind during the first half posed as a glimpse of what we have missed from him.
One burst in particular was a timely reminder of what he can offer us as his speed saw him skip past Harry Maguire with ease before being fouled by the Hull defender.
His movement behind the Hull back line is what we need more of if we are to get back in this game.
