This is a transfer Liverpool will one day regret not getting over the line, if they aren’t already…
French prodigy Ousmane Dembele currently plays for Borussia Dortmund in Germany, after the Bundesliga giants won the race for his signature in summer 2016.

Liverpool were very interested in his services, but lost out to Thomas Tuchel’s men, despite Jurgen Klopp heading to Paris to personally meet the flying winger.
However, by the time the pair sat down to chat, Dembele had already made up his mind.
“I saw Klopp in Paris but I told him I’d made up my mind to sign for BVB.” he told FourFourTwo.
“I made the decision a long time ago, so going to Leicester was out of the question,” he added.
It might have been courteous of Dembele to alert Klopp of his decision before he travelled to Paris, but there we go!
At 19-years-old, Dembele is one of the most exciting offensive prospects in Europe. He’s wonderfully two-footed, rapid and has skill that compares to Brazilian superstar Neymar.
We need players of his ilk badly, as since the turn of the year, we’ve lacked spark and quickness in attack.
Klopp obviously wanted the wonderkid, but in the end signed Sadio Mane – who of course has done brilliantly. We likely wanted both though, as the Senegalese is the only fast wide option at Klopp’s disposal.
Dembele is no longer attainable, but we’re sure Liverpool will sign another winger of note this summer.
