LFC reject opening £1m offer for forgotten defender

Liverpool are surely going to sell Andre Wisdom this summer, but not for the £1m Derby County just offered.

We’ve rejected the Championship side’s opening bid, instead hoping for a figure close to double that, according to the Telegraph.

The 24-year-old spent last year on loan at Red Bull Salzburg, winning the Austrian title to boot, but the truth is he has no part to play in Jurgen Klopp’s plans and will finally be allowed to depart the club permanently after four consecutive temporary deals away from Anfield.

Wisdom, once the England Under-21 captain, hasn’t made an appearance for Liverpool since 2013 and has sadly not fulfilled the potential that many thought could see him become a regular centre-back for us.

As a result, it’s best to part ways, so the player can focus on rebuilding his career and eventually getting back into the Premier League on merit.

We expect Derby to raise their bid shortly and that a deal will be concluded before pre-season.
