That half of football tonight was worse than the one at Wembley against Spurs.
Liverpool conceded three goals to one of the worst sides in the Premier League, at Anfield, and it would have been four if VAR hadn’t have saved us.

We also missed a penalty and looked at times like we were playing without a midfielder.
It was complete carnage, and fans have reacted accordingly on Twitter.
What’s important is that the VAR debate should not change how badly Liverpool defended.
With £75m Virgil van Dijk at the back, we’ve actually looked worse than usual, which is worrying.
3-1 to West Brom? Not if the VAR has anything to do with it ❌
It's been ruled as offside after originally being awarded as a goal.

This game has it all 😂
Liverpool are awarded a penalty through VAR and the West Brom players are furious!
Roberto Firmino only goes and misses it 🙈

Watch West Brom's 3rd goal and you'll see why Matip was free agent for Liverpool to sign. Awful balance feet tangled on goal line trying to clear the ball

What shouldn't be dismissed amidst the VAR debate is how bad Liverpool have looked there.
