West Ham receive great news ahead of Liverpool clash

West Ham look set to welcome back Manuel Lanzini for Saturday’s trip to face Liverpool at Anfield.

The Argentine has been sidelined since suffering a hamstring injury in January’s draw with Bournemouth, but has been tipped to feature this weekend after returning to training.

Lanzini has been somewhat rejuvenated following the appointment of manager David Moyes, flourishing as a leading supplier for Marko Arnautovic.

The 25-year-old took to Instagram to tease his availability, serving as a subtle warning to Jurgen Klopp’s men.

Lanzini marks a primary threat for Jurgen Klopp’s men to contain in what is a must-win fixture with fourth-placed Chelsea set to play second-placed Manchester United.

West Ham’s playmaker has previously been linked with a Liverpool switch having been touted as a potential replacement for Philippe Coutinho.

His stuttering form this season has somewhat deterred those rumours, although games such as Saturday’s at Anfield present ideal opportunities for him to prove his worth in the spotlight.

Lanzini’s presence in the final third demands close attention from the likes of Emre Can and Jordan Henderson in denying the former River Plate man the space to feed runners ahead of him.
