This is sheer class from Adam Lallana, who has had his own season ravaged by injury.
The Englishman has posted a message of support for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who picked up a nasty injury on Tuesday night, via Instagram.
In it, he declares that Ox has been a breath of fresh air for the dressing room and reminded his younger colleague that the fans are besotted with him.
“It’s not ‘day one of being out’ – it’s ‘day one of the comeback’ bro 💪 Given the place a massive lift since you signed – supporters love you as much as we do 😘 You’ll use the time to learn and improve… and we all know next season you’ll take it to another level 👊 YNWA”
Very, very well put.
Of course in Ox’s absence, it’s even more crucial that Lallana returns to action in time to offer us something before the season is up.
We have four games in the Premier League remaining – and with Chelsea on our tails – it’s vital we rack up the required wins to secure the top four.
It’s also important though that Jurgen Klopp has the possibility of resting certain players for a hopeful Champions League final, providing we navigate past Roma in the away leg.
The 5-2 lead gives us a terrific chance, but nothing should be taken for granted.
