Liverpool have won the title 18 times throughout our history, but before today, had won our opening five games of the season on only two occasions!
Opta shared the fact on Twitter after the game.

The 2-1 victory over Spurs was our best performance of the campaign, despite the fact by conceding late we endured a couple of nervy minutes.
In truth though, we battered Tottenham and were comfortable defensively throughout.
Lineker apologises to Milner on Twitter after Spurs MOTM
Really, we should have been out of sight and would have been if the front-three made better decisions when in fantastic situations during the second-half.
Still, if our defence, marshalled by the phenomenal Virgil van Dijk, keep performing to this level, it means we only need one or two goals per match to pick up victories – and even on bad days – the likes of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah will find the back of the net.
It’s Southampton next, before a trip to Chelsea, who are actually top of the table on goal difference right now.
