Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, formerly of Arsenal, seemingly got some pleasure out of seeing his ex-team-mate Coutinho reject Spurs yesterday!
Our midfield dynamo, fit again and ready to take on the new season, was caught ‘liking’ news about Phil turning down Tottenham’s loan offer on Instagram – as the tweet below shows:

It is said that Mauricio Pochettino called the Brazilian personally to get a loan deal over the line, but according to Sky Sports, the 27-year-old was having none of it.
As a result, it doesn’t look like Coutinho will get a temporary deal to an English club before the 5pm deadline – with Jurgen Klopp seemingly adamant not to re-sign the man who left him in January 2018.
However, in other European countries, the transfer window has a few weeks to run, so Phil could still depart to PSG, Bayern, or any other giant who fancies taking him off Barca’s hands.
If PSG offload Neymar to Real Madrid [SPORT], they could have a space on their left flank for Coutinho, although we’re only speculating.
