Arsenal scouts to attend Anfield as Liverpool take on RB Sazlburg – report

Arsenal scouts are said to be attending Liverpool’s Champions League clash with Red Bull Salzburg at Anfield, as per the Daily Mirror.

The Gunners are reportedly interested in 18-year-old Hungary international Dominik Szoboszlai, having made their interest know last summer.

The initial contact with the Austrian champions is believed to be a request to be informed if any of Arsenal’s rivals show interest in the forward. The Gunners are supposedly lining up a summer 2020 move for Szoboszlai.

The same Mirror report also claims that they’re interested in star player Erling Haaland, but Liverpool would be wise to keep an eye on the forward.

The teenager has scored a genuinely barbaric 17 goals in nine appearances so far this season – 11 of those have come from seven appearances in the Austrian Bundesliga.

Three more in the Austrian Cup and three more in the Champions League – all scored during a first-half hat-trick against Genk last week.

The hype surrounding the forward is huge already, but we hope he doesn’t justify it against us. In fairness, he’ll have Virgil van Dijk and one of Joel Matip or Joe Gomez as his direct opponents – and won’t have seen anything of their ilk yet.

The Austrians are a decent outfit though, and not one we can afford to take for granted under any circumstances.
