LFC predicted XI v. Salzburg: Klopp could rotate midfield options

The team Jurgen Klopp will pick for our Champions League fixture with Red Bull Salzburg practically picks itself.

The Reds need the points at Anfield, after a pretty poor result in Naples, and there is not really a chance for the boss to rest anyone this week.

Adrian is set to reclaim his spot between the sticks, with Alisson expected to be out for at least another 2-3 weeks.

A back four of Andy Robertson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip can be expected, but it wouldn’t surprise me if Joe Gomez starts in the right-back position.

But in midfield, Klopp has some decisions to make. Our best possible trio – as of now – is probably Fabinho, Jordan Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum.

That being said, Naby Keita is surely chomping at the bit to get back into the team, and this fixture could be a chance for him. The experience of James Milner could also be a crutch this week.

Up top, there should be no surprises, with Mo Salah on the right flank, but Klopp has opted to give Bobby Firmino the odd rest so Divock Origi could get a chance to stand in for the Brazilian or take Sadio Mane’s place as the Senegalese star takes centre stage.
