Mario Balotelli: “I was not happy at Liverpool and don’t want to go back”

Mario Balotelli has revealed that he was never happy at Liverpool and does not want to return.

Hallelujah! Because we were never happy with him and do not want him back!

According to BBC Sport, the Italian striker has said that he wants to stay at AC Milan, where he joined us from in 2014, when his loan deal at the San Siro expires at the end of the season.

“I want to stay with Milan because I was not happy at Liverpool and don’t want to go back,” Balotelli is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.

“I’ve played well in my last two games and there are six left for me to prove what I can do.”

If Balotelli has played well in his last two games, as he claims, then it appears to be a desperate late attempt to convince Milan that he is worth keeping after a disappointing season-long loan.

The 25-year-old has scored three goals in 19 appearances and only made five Serie A starts all campaign – not exactly form which would persuade the Rossoneri to invest in him permanently.

Hopefully Balotelli, who scored a pathetic one Premier League goal for us, impresses across Milan’s remaining six games of the season because it would be a relief to get him off our books.
