Mahmoud Dahoud is reportedly a top target of ours, with a €30m move being touted for quite some time (via German publication Express). It has seemed unlikely that a deal would be done as Borussia Monchengladbach were apparently unlikely to want to sell after losing Granit Xhaka to Arsenal already, but the player himself has arguably dropped some big hints about a potential switch this summer on Instagram.
Social media has changed the game in many ways, and things are very different compared to a decade or so ago. You can now tell a lot about a player based on their social media activity, and Dahoud looks to have dropped some Premier League and Liverpool related hints on his Instagram account.
The player has liked Liverpool related pictures and followed Premier League related accounts, which seems like strange activity for a player not considering a switch to the English top flight.

The 20-year-old is a phenomenal talent, and if we could secure his signature it would be a fantastic bit of business. We’ve been linked with a number of midfielders already this summer, but Dahoud is arguably the best and brightest.

He’s not only a bright prospect and a player with a big future, but he’s also someone who could come in and make an impact right away. Jurgen Klopp is clearly a fan of the German international, and hopefully these are actually hints and not just meaningless social media movements.
