Besiktas boss disrespects Balotelli; totally ends chance of Liverpool striker joining on loan

Mario Balotelli is currently sunning himself in Italy, not welcome on Liverpool’s pre-season tour of America.

And it seems one of his potential suitors is now out of the running for his signature as well, with Besiktas boss Senol Gunes claiming in no uncertain terms that he doesn’t want the controversial Italian.

“There were also rumours about (Manchester City defender) Aleksandar Kolarov but he wasn’t in my plans,” Gunes began, reported by the Mirror.

“Balotelli isn’t in my plans either. I don’t have a favourable view of Mario Balotelli. I have never expressed a positive insight on him.”

Besiktas’s owner had previously claimed his Turkish club were interested in acquiring our out of sorts forward, but these blunt comments from the manager surely rule out any transfer.

Jurgen Klopp has already made the striker aware that he’s not in his plans and should find a new club, but as of yet – no concrete links have emerged. There’s one month left of the transfer window, and Liverpool will now be sweating 0n the prospect of entering September with Balotelli still at the club.

The Italian could do a job for plenty of teams, but his extravagant wages certainly complicate any potential loan deals.
