Another game and another solid display from Jordan Henderson.
Yet again it was the captain who dominated things in midfield and who provided the foundations to Liverpool’s attacking ambition. It was the kind of performance we have come to expect from him this season and the kind of performance that reminded us all of how far he has come under Jurgen Klopp.
While his overall game against Stoke was something to be commended, it was one pass in particular that stole the spotlight.
The eyes of the Anfield faithful seemed to follow the ball in astonishment as the Liverpool skipper fed the path of a bursting Nathaniel Clyne run with a cross-field pass that Xabi Alonso would have been proud of.
Reds fans, as ever, were at hand to show their appreciation for the midfielder.
