‘Be afraid’- fans go mad at the news of Philippe Coutinho’s return to training

He’s back!

Just when nerves were kicking in following the departure of Sadio Mane to the African Cup of Nations, Reds fans have been treated to a late Christmas present as it was announced that Philippe Coutinho has returned to full training.

It seems like forever since the Brazilian last graced the pitch but his recovery means we could see him lineup against Manchester United at Old Trafford on January 15. What a game for him to make his comeback in.

Not only are we excited to see his individual brilliance tearing opposition defences apart again, but we are looking forward to him reuniting with Roberto Firmino and rekindling the link up play that has left teams in awe of our attacking football this season.

In a tough period hampered by injuries and untimely absences, having Coutinho back will be a huge boost and promises to drive this Liverpool team to continue fighting hard for the title.

Fans took to Twitter to celebrate the news.
