Divock Origi with mature outlook on goalless spell that is typical of this Liverpool team

It is all about the team this season, after all.

The fact the players have bought into such unity and team spirit is why we have been successful for a lot of the campaign so far.

Jurgen Klopp’s men have endured a difficult month, granted, yet the self belief appears to still be there and there is the confidence that the players can turn things around again.

Divock Origi has come under pressure of late for his dip in form but the Belgian striker is approaching his goalless period with the perfect attitude.

He told Liverpoolfc.com: “Obviously every game is different so you have different instructions, but for me the main focus is to keep doing my thing and just work hard and look forward and play with a lot of passion.”

“You always want to score as much as possible, but the most important thing is that we win as a team, that we play our football, that we get confidence from that.”

“And like we’ve seen before, when the team plays well, obviously as a player you also benefit from it.”

It is now perhaps more than ever this season that we need Origi to rediscover his top form and begin to show some consistency.

That goes for the rest of the team as well, though. There can be no passengers in this side at this stage. One goal is all it takes for a forward to get some confidence back and that one goal couldn’t come soon enough for Origi.

His desire for the team to do well before any personal triumph is the attitude that promises to serve him best at a time like this.
