Liverpool were 2-0 down to Spurs today in their Under-23s clash, but fought back heroically to clinch a 3-2 victory at Anfield.
It looked like it was going to be a miserable weekend for both the senior side and the reserve outfit, but thankfully, a valiant comeback saw quite a few supporters who turned up to watch see the men in red win.
Having conceded two goals early, we were entirely dominant, with top scorer and captain Harry Wilson converting from the spot after top work from right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold.
In the second-half Sheyi Ojo drew things level with a wonderful left-footed effort. Picking the ball up on the right flank, Ojo cut inside and shot inside the far post, although the Spurs keeper could have perhaps done better.
With less than ten minutes to go, Kevin Stewart nodded in Alexander-Arnold’s pinpoint cross.
