In truth, we already know that Naby Keita is desperate to join Liverpool, based on any report of note over the past three weeks.
But this is perhaps the first time we’ve had it confirmed (well, almost) by the Guinean himself.

At the moment though, the situation still stands. Red Bull Leipzig’s sporting director Ralf Rangnick is adamant that he won’t sell the 22-year-old at any price – so for now – we’re in limbo.
Jurgen Klopp is so desperate to acquire Keita that he hasn’t put his eggs in any other midfielder’s basket yet, but Liverpool are yet to even test the German club’s waters with an opening bid.
If Keita hands in a transfer request, you can expect us to come in all guns blazing…
