(Video) LFC loanee scores first goal in France

Well done Sheyi Ojo, who is off the mark in France for Reims.

His loan club played in the Coupe de la Ligue last night and went out on penalties, but Liverpool’s on loan winger scored in the 88th minute to give them a chance, before US Orleans came through on spot-kicks.

You can watch the goal, here.

So far, Ojo has made just two starts in Ligue 1 and came off the bench a further five – so he’s not yet managed to cement himself a spot in the XI.

He’s a powerful runner and has very good close-control, so we hope he gets more opportunities to show as much as the season progresses.

At the moment, it looks unlikely Ojo will make the grade, which is a shame, as he remains a player with huge potential.

Ojo still holds the record for the world’s most expensive 14-year-old, with Liverpool paying £2m to acquire him from MK Dons some time ago.
