It’s hardly a surprise that Trent Alexander-Arnold is up for the PFA Young Player of the Year award this year.

The Scouser has been one of the best full backs in Europe this season, along with team-mate Andy Robertson.
Trent has a total of nine assists across all competitions this season and netted once in the Premier League.
The 20 year old’s stock has risen dramatically since breaking into Jurgen Klopp’s first team as a teenager and is now an important cog in the starting eleven.
Our right back is up for the award along with Raheem Sterling, Bernardo Silva, who are both up for the PFA Players’ Player of the Year award, David Brooks, Declan Rice and Marcus Rashford.
The winner will be revealed at the 2019 PFA Awards at Grosvenor House in London on April the 28th. The last Liverpool player to claim the accolade was felloe Scouser Steven Gerrard at the end of the 2000/01 season.
In March 2018, while part of the U21 team, Alexander-Arnold was invited to train with the senior team for the first time ahead of their friendly matches against Italy and the Netherlands. His début followed on the 7th of June when he started in a 2–0 win over Costa Rica.
