  1. “Mascherano – He mastered the midfield were Palacios usually dominates. Hope he signs the contract extension. Pitbull!

Lucas – He tries, and tries. He runs his socks off. Like Mascherano, his DISTRIBUTION LACKS QUALITY, but you cannot not commend the lad on sheer diehard effort. Marathon Man..”

Baffling really Mr.Bone..Its true that we celebrated a famous victory lastday..but you admit that MASCH lacks quality but still hope that he pens a new deal… If you say so because you are confident that the money he will be worth will not get some one worthier then of that ..you can’t be serious..Ya its true Masch and Lucas LOVE Liverpool FC ..and that passion may not be present in their replacements..but i genuinely think they are both JUST DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDERs..and only one must be present on the pitch not both..They lack the attacking intent which we need to go and keep scoring ..

  2. I know that Every fan of Liverpool fc fan here seems to love MASCH..I love his passion..but I would prefer (if possible) Turan for either Masch or Lucas any day..!! Turan also said Liverpool is his dream destination..and he has more elegance..Butif Rafa stays put on LUCAS and Masch ..i hope he plays either and not both the defensive midfielders..but having said that RAFA nowadays..plays DEGEN in a proper Midfielders place..MAy be all he focuses now is containment and conservative football..rather than aggression..
Whatever it be ..i firstly and mostly want LIVERPOOL FC to WIN..till we keep doing that anything will go..YNWA..!! HAIL LIVERPOOL FC..GO REDS GO!!!!

  3. Tonio said that his distribution lacks quality. Not the player himself.

As for Turan, I thought he was a left-winger?

  4. Kaustav you got it all wrong friend. What I said that Mascherano and Lucas lack quality distribution of the ball. I never said Mascherano is not a quality player. He is one of the best holding midfielders one the scene today. Not surprising he is captain of Argentina and wanted by Europe’s best, Barcelona.
They are both, as you say ‘defensive’ midfielders, that is why Rafa plays them. He is inserting Aquilani to give the team a bit more offensive stance.

  5. Thanks Mr. Bone, maithri for your comments. Ya its true that TURAN is a left winger. But Do you think Mr. Maithri that everybody in liverpool fc plays in their correct positions..??
i)I never thought Gerrard was a forward for England..(even the behind the striker position that he plays for liverpool fc) and ii)KUYT had kept going back from his forward position,..to becoming an established right-winger,
iii) Babel has established (whatever he has) mainly being a Winger..but he was a Dutch forward i belive..
iv)Even Maxi was a forward during the last world cup..but now is a Happy Winger..
RAFA has recently said he prefers buying cheap full backs who can go up and score…Well in that case its better for a winger to take a modified midfield position(with 5 midfilders..we could play him as one.. a little to the left flank) to score i believe..rather than keep making our defenders come up all the way..exposing the back to counter attack..
Football as it seems now has evolved much and subtle changes shouldn’t really cause that great a difference to quality players..But then again i hear GALA have got JO ..so their attraction on BABEL is bound to decrease..Would have been a brilliant piece of business though had it gone through..the Babel-Turan SWAP..

  6. AS for MR. Bone, ya your right Sir..when you say that HE is “one of the best holding midfielders” and everything..I do respect him for that..May be all you meant was that of all qualities that a midfielder possesses he lacks in the distribution department only..May be..The only point i wanted to make was that a team like ours should have more creative players in midfield and EITHER of LUCAS and MASCH would be enough..Even DEGEN has the same defensive mindset..May be for now all is well..but come the crunch matches, as much we need AQUI-MAN to become a force to reckon with..We also needed players who could do better than Crunching challenges and sliding tackles..When was the last team an English Defensive team got to the Champions League and performed as well as we need to..We need more goals ..that has been our area of strength..
I am a die-hard Liverpool fc fan…make no mistake..and its true that we needed this last victory of ours desperately..BUT THE TOP 3 in the league have SLAUGHTERED Tottenham..in their turn..May be i am being a little myopic..but we need more fire -power in midfield (as we dont have an established striker..and Rafa hasn’t enough to buy 2 players)..afterall had we been better of defending the one goal advantages..We would be playing Champions league Football next month..

  7. I meant we dont have an established striker as of now..may be till march..and 2-3 more drawn matches till then will do us more harm than good..

  8. I think the real Aquilani is coming. He showed some quality passes. I can’t see the shadow of Xabi Alonso on him but i can see the shadow of Veira on him, Classy! I love to see Mascherano playing because his tackles are very good, but sometimes we can see he failed to tackled got the YELLOW CARDS. Anyway, his tackling skills have make the enemies are fear on him. Rafa always start Kuyt, I really wanna ask him how he get his stamina, or how he breath. He is very clever player, sometimes he helps to defend too, hard work of him paid off, good attitude! I agree with T.Bone about Kyrgiacos reminded you of Hyypia, strong header blocked many crosses and long ball. IRONMAN!!!

  9. Hi Tonio!

That’s truth, there was a lack of quality but there was REAL passion again. Even a “blind one” could see it that night ;D I have to admit, i was proud of my reds running their sock off.
