6) Ray Lambert

The Welshman joined Liverpool in 1939 and stayed with us until the mid-1950s. He played more than 300 times, winning a single First Division title and reaching the FA Cup final in 1950. A one-club man through and through.

5) Ephraim Longworth

Our right-back during the early 20th century. He played almost 400 games prior to 1928, winning two Football Championship medals and winning five England caps. He was the first Reds star to captain the Three Lions.
