Andrew Robertson is a vampire slayer, according to bizarre punditry

Garth Crooks: the gift that keeps on giving…

The former Tottenham star turned ultra-serious pundit, named Andy Robertson in his BBC Sport Team of the Week – but his reasoning as to why has gone viral!

“He’s started 13 out of Liverpool’s past 14 league games, which speaks volumes for the lad. The quality of his crosses against West Ham would have drained the blood out of vampires,” said Crooks!

We’re not exactly sure what that means, but it sounds complimentary!

The young Scot was brilliant against West Ham and registered an assist for a perfectly weighted ball across the six-yard box for Sadio Mane, who gobbled up the chance.

Not only does Robertson have outstanding energy, which he uses to bomb up and down the flank throughout, but he’s defensively feisty and like Crooks suggests, has a wicked cross.

It’s a testament to the former Hull player that we haven’t missed Alberto Moreno, who started the season brilliantly, in the slightest.

In fact, Robbo has shown that his best level is actually above the Spaniard’s, who’s now very much our backup left-back.

We expect Moreno to play against FC Porto next week, but barring injury, the left-back spot is Robertson’s to lose until the summer.
